    Intertwined layers

    Approached by HBO to create a piece for a Game of Thrones Gallery exhibition in East London due to the air of magical realism and colours in Emmie's work.     Battersea Art Fair 2019

    Some of the pieces exhibited (and sold) by Quantum Gallery at this years Affordable Art Fair in Battersea. One of the longest and most established art fairs which despite the impending Brexit negotiations held up well although a number of galleries had pulled out of showing at all. Work being featured in the picture is partly based on sailing past Porto, the tower in Marrakesh, an abandoned building discovered while on art residency in Cappadocia

    Showing at The Mall Galleries 12-14th December

    Emmie will be showing at the Mall Galleries between 12-14th December 2018 and has exhibited at this show annually since 2010. This is a group show with part of the funds generated through picture sales going directly to the children's charity UK Youth.     New Work ‘Sailing South’ showing November 14th-18th at AAF in Singapore

    This collection of work is based on some of Europes ports and towns that we visited and which have welcomed and sheltered sailers through the centuries on their way to the discoveries of the ‘New World’.     Final touches complete to new collection of work ‘Camel Nights’

    The final touches have now been made to a Collection of work based on the mystical and exotic contours of minarets, mosques, temples and houses of Rajasthan and Bukhara and Samarkand in Uzbekistan. Even their names sound evocative.  The idea for these pieces 'Camel Nights' had initially been conceived at this amazing camel trading festival which takes place each year at the full moon in November.     Work featured in ‘The Oxford Art Book’ coming soon

    The two pieces 'Funnelled light' and 'Last light on the Sheldonian' now both in private collections will be shown in The Oxford Art book . It is described as 'a vibrant book to celebrate Oxford and its surrounds through the eyes of the artist's it inspires. It will be published on 13th September 2018 and launched in Blackwells Oxford and then stocked in a number of bookshops.

    Currently Artist in Residence sailing up past islands of foliage strown rooftop, through stormy seas and to the Artic Circle in Norway where the sun never quite sets. "It was a long day, a rickety bus to the border from Dushanbe, Tajikistan, a shared taxi, a walk over the shiny and virtually deserted border crossing to Uzbekistan.     Emmie is now exhibiting some of her recent work at The Corte Real Gallery in Southern Portugal. The gallery has an eclectic mix of international artists whos work they exhibit.
